About Narrative Connections
Narrative Connections is an initiative of the Dulwich Centre. It’s a global network that assists narrative practitioners to:
seek out others who are interested in narrative ideas in their own area
build a sense of community of practice
- find narrative supervision and teaching options in their own area, and seek out other people to refer to in other parts of the country and/or world.

Rationale for Narrative Connections
Many years ago, when the Dulwich Centre Newsletter first began, one of its most popular columns featured short descriptions from therapists about themselves and their workplaces, along with notes about whether they were open to visitors, referrals, or other connections. This simple initiative led to therapists visiting each other, forming local and international links, and building a vibrant community of ideas.
Over time, as interest in narrative practice grew, we began receiving daily emails, phone calls, and faxes from practitioners around the world—people seeking to connect with others interested in narrative ideas, or looking for a therapist to whom they could refer someone. For many years, we responded to these requests informally as best we could, but it became clear that a more structured process was needed.
Hence, Narrative Connections was born! Initially Narrative Connections was hosted on the Dulwich Centre website, but the evolution of the community continues and Narrative Connections now has an online home of its own.
We’re inviting practitioners (you!) from around the world to upload a short description of your links to narrative ideas and your hopes for connecting with others. You can indicate whether you’re open to visitors, able to accept referrals, or offer teaching or supervision. We also invite you to upload a photograph to accompany your listing. Over time, we hope this will grow into a rich, global tapestry of narrative practitioners.
